Don’t know what’s worse. Matt Hancock’s complete naivety in trusting a known snake, or Isobel Oakeshott’s absolute disregard for an NDA in handing over 100k of WhatsApp messages to the Telegraph. I don’t particularly like Hancock but I think she’s bang out of order when there is already an inquiry underway and he has been complicit with providing all the information and sources he’s been requested to stump up.
She’s actually employed under the Murdoch umbrella , but didn’t even leak this to one of his papers. She went a rival. What a complete and utter fluffybunny.

It's a dirty bit f business all round isn't it. Laughable to some degree. ie Matt Hancock complaining about "a massive betrayal"
Matt Hancock. Who flouted the lockdown rules that he had a hand in setting out.
I suppose if anyone is well placed to recognise "a massive betrayal" it is that hypocrite.

Fuck Hancock
Getting his commupance

Agree.
But Oakshotte should be in jail. Otherwise all NDA on British law hold zero water.
She must be made an example of as what she’s done is completely contemptible.

I can't believe there are a bunch of adults sitting in a room talking about how bad it is that a kid drew in a book. That's one of the most pathetic things I've ever seen in my life.
-
@No-Quarter farrrrk that's quite sickening.

Nailed.

That's what happens when you give any credence to the stone age ignorance of myths in the nuclear age. These people should be laughed at and hosed off stage.

Who in the fuck cares about doodling in a Quran? Are the UK police really this fucking gutless? Talk about a complete and utter capitulation to radicals.
I thought the lad simply dropped it on the floor. But, yeah, appalling and reminiscent of the way the Police colluded in the abuse of hundreds of vulnerable teenage girls in the Nth of England for nearly a decade. At least Braverman has called for an inquiry.
The Police are in a real mess with public trust at an all-time low with scandal after scandal showing how poorly led & discipled they are - yet they continue with this sort of shit.

We are fucked...

I am amazed and horrified about our seeming lack of choice in potential leaders. And yes, if something doesn't change in this regard soon we are fucked.

I'm increasingly finding myself talking about Rishi Starmer & Kier Sunak these days

The list of other choices over the last 7 years is telling:-
May
Corbyn
Johnson
Truss
Sunak and Starmer waiting in the wings.IMO you can add Cameron to that list of political pygmies too.

Thought Cameron was OK. May was trapped by circumstances of her own making as she took on a golden cup and turned it into a poisoned chalice. BoJo and Truss at least had a vision to grow the country and direct investment to grow poorer regions of the country to do that.
For me, the worrying thing is how vested interests, wealthier sections of the community and the Civil Service seem to have the ability to stop that sort of growth and change stuff happening. Not averse to a little subversion (subtle or otherwise) either, it seems.
Fuck, I'm turning into a revolutionary.

Cameron was a lightweight IMO. Had the outcome that he wanted but still gave a referendum = Idiot. Then neglected to take it seriously and campaign to any degree = double idiot. And yeah I know he pledged a referendum but these polls pledge a lot of things and even then the timing and handling of it all was down to him.
Bo-Jo... Hmm. Not sure what he did to promote growth that was concrete. Oversaw an ever increasing tax burden. Was in thrall to the treasury and the mantra to balance the books in the shortest time possible while at the same time giving hand outs left right and centre.
Truss had a vision but fuck all application. You know she actually admitted to not knowing what a liability driven investment was.
Looks like I'll be
doingjoining (sorry @Bones ) you on the barricades comrade. Anyone for vodka? -

Well, at least Truss & BoJo tried to see the problem and move forward. The others just seem to want to manage decay better than the other bloke.

TBF, neither did the Bank of England..
PS: We've all missed out Blair and Brown on the list.
