From personal experience, coz it's all about me me me, I had an inner ear inflammation 10 or 12 years ago.
I suspect there are degrees of these things, but this hit me out of the blue, was the most unrelentingly unpleasant experience (imagine the most intense dizzy spell from the worst hungover of your darkest nightmare), and took months to fully resolve.
Acute vestibular neuronitis was the doctorism used.
No specific cause, but likely result of irritation from cold or flu.
I just wish him well.
And Will had covid earlier this year so may be related.
I had very similar/same thing skiing this year. Definitely affects balance. In my case the odd thing was skiing itself seemed fine, but when I came to a stop I was prone to falling over.
No infection/covid, so cause unclear, but had a fall a day or two before it started so jarring might be a factor.
Something to do with little crystals in inner ear and which when you move make some internal hairs twitch and those provide a sense of balance (or not).

for Jordan, is it inner ear? could also affect balance.
Oh he'll yeah. You fall over when you're already lying down with that shit.
George Bridge-itis
That's NZ XV-destroying George the Barbarian thank you very much!
[George Bridge points to the scoreboard. Oh so slowly].George and “destroying “? Yeah, nah!

Hmm, you sure it wasn't the 3 pints you had at lunch on the mountain every day?

Now we need a graph showing the amounts each country paid to seal deals with refs....

Southern Hemsiphere teams and Northern Hemisphere refs aren't a happy combo.

Interesting analysis

Is shows our players are dumb and don't learn down south. Is very annoying.

I would be interested to also see how teams benefited from opposition cards and also comparisons of home and away cards.
I have felt that in the past couple of years there have been numerous incidents that could meet card threshold in every match and often it is just luck of the draw. The actions of players drawing attention to an incident, the crowd reaction and the motivations of tmos all play a part.
Certainly at super level the commitment to reviewing some types of incident has varied greatly.
Basically I think the top players are starting to play the refs and tmos in getting cards for their opponents. -
@Machpants I'm not convinced that's the issue. Just look at the difference between Ta'avao's red card and Porters non-red card. That was just overall terrible officiating and adjudicating. Both incidents should have had the same consequences. You can't see that in a chart like that.

True. But our guys do seem slower to pick up the subtleties required, compared to NH players
-
@Machpants You reckon that explains that graph 100%? Just the Porter and Ta'avao incident has got my tin foil hat on.

you dont think its fair? the NH and SH definitely seem to interpret the rules differently

it's not fairness, it's a fundamental issue in rugby. The interpretation changes week to week are baffling. World Rugby hold this - they select grade and instruct the referees.

From just a quick look the French have only played 6 matches this year 2 against Italy and 2 against Japan.. yeah great graph
-
@bayimports surely they played the 6N too so thats another 5 games

I was expecting that, but not according to world rugby.. (filter on France and 15s only and mens results)
