Standard DVD version of 007 Casino Royale, good, 7/10 because it was a bit dated already.

Quantum of Solace, bluray, 8/10 because there's only so much watching dumb bad guys you need. This movie will date fast too. It's also dangerously close to the plot of Rainbow Six by Tom Clancy (read it if you haven't) - just a sort of lite version. The new Bond is great though and the minimal reliance on gadgets was refreshing.
Daniel Craig was very cool in this but I kinda thought the whole movie was a bunch of arse really. He did get points for doing some actual "spying" but I found the plot way too complicated for my liking. -

Whole thing was cool but Olga was just fluff for fluff's sake. Still, I'd give a weeks pay...

MN5 I think it's best if you avoid the book recommendation then mate! -

Now this looks good. A new Doco movie about Ali. Looks really well edited if the trailer is anything to go by.
Aw sorry, thought you meant the bond book. Books aren't as bad because you can always go back a few pages if you feel you've missed something or didn't get it first time round. I didn't have this luxury watching QOS..... -
Had my neice for a week, so have watched:

Sound of Music - damn wife sang throughout it, ma-in-law joined in ocassionally, neice was too busy smsing and CD consumed the better part of a penfolds 389 2003 - needs quite a few more years in the cellar to develop ... the wine that is ...
Dark Crystal - favourite movie of the wife
Jumanji - one of CDs favourites
Monsters v Aliens 3D - had to pay money at the cinema for this

After returning said neice to her mother, spent the night at the father-in-laws farm and watched Jindabyne ... 2 1/2 hours which included adverts from NBN of my life I'll never recover. At the end of the movie there were questions that the film never answered. -

The boook won't do you much good MN5, apart from the title and the fact it has James Bond in it there is precious little to compare to the film. QOS is a short story about a story and is a load of old w*ank. -
Spirit of the Marathon. It follows 6 marathon runners in the build up to the Chicago marathon. The movie was good but not great. It's worth a watch if you need a bit of inspiration for running your 1st marathon.
A little over a year ago the PBS science program NOVA produced an absorbing one-hour documentary titled "Marathon" that is available for viewing online. I recommend watching it for precisely the same inspiration above (and good luck!) but it's equally fascinating for us couch potatoes.
Original PBS Broadcast Date: October 30, 2007

How do you run 26.2 miles if you have trouble making it around the block? With good coachÂing, discipline, and lots of group support, as NOVA shows when it follows 13 generally sedentary people through a training regimen designed to prepare them for an ultimate test of stamina and endurance. Created in cooperation with the Boston Athletic Association®, which granted NOVA unprecÂedented access to the 111th Boston Marathon®, and Tufts University, "Marathon Challenge" takes viewers on a unique adventure inside the human body, tracking the physiological changes that exercise can bring about.

Former Olympian and three-time Boston Marathon winner Uta Pippig offers advice and inspiration to NOVA's runners throughout their training. And veteran Tufts University coach Donald Megerle guides them week-by-week through an onslaught of physical and psychological challenges. NOVA's runners range in age from 22 to 60, and they come to the endeavor with a wide range of medical histories and backgrounds. They share one thing in common: none has ever run a marathon before.
