So went to a dietician and it was a pretty fun experience. She was really cool. Plenty of laughs about my cheat days. No judgements, just support and happy to help me reach my goals.
Anyway, there won't be massive differences, just tweaking to ensure I don't starve during the day and won't have these ridiculous blow-outs on Saturday. Will give it a go for 6 weeks, but am very positive.

The girl trained as a dietician and I love completely disagreeing with lots of what she says. The amount of protein I need as opposed to her especially. I’m nearly twice her weight for fucks sake !
To be fair she does make a fair point that occasionally I do eat too much proceeded meat but some of the amounts that she needs as opposed to what I need leave me feeling starving.

There was some "influencer" woman a while back who claimed her workout meant you could "eat anything you wanted". Now that may be the case for a tiny woman like her, but not for people with much larger appetites. I'll bet what fills her up would be like an appetiser for most people. Giving someone free reign to eat whatever they want is not particularly wise.

Started new eating regime on Saturday. It's basically just going hard at lunch and not stressing too much about the other meals. Was much better.
Saturday training unfortunately has to be truncated due to youngest and volleyball. Bloody rude that the games start at 8 and they have to get there at 7:30. Means I have to get out of the pool early. Shame because it was in the Groove on Saturday. Did a type of crossfit session:
500m row
Sled, back and forth 4 times
20 wall balls
500m run
X7Was good shit.
But will be super hectic Saturdays going forward. Can't really complain though and it's great he's getting into his sport. Can remember when the kids had rugby at 8am on both Saturdays and Sundays. Goodbye weekends!

Yeah so eating on Saturday was pretty good. Schnitzel and nacho laden lunch and BBQ for dinner but otherwise nothing stupid. The run on Sunday was actually reasonably pleasant for once due to my bowels being clear and settled.
Ironically I'm finding that I'm turning a corner in terms of swimming but the running is getting harder. Doing the half-marathon then full in consecutive days will not be fun but I've at least got some time to train until then.

I love nachos so much.
Mince with lots of hot sauce and corn chips aren’t that bad are they ?

9 days. Slack, a bit like this entire section really 😔.
Mountains of work and kids sport but I keep on keeping on. Son had early morning swimming yesterday so I swam myself and then backed it up in the evening. Went fine actually. Had a bit of an eating binge for lunch but that ironically appeared to give me plenty of energy for the evening session. Funny how fueling the body gives energy💡
A concept I should take heed of more often.Anyway very happy with the double swim so will continue with that and shelve the boot camp. Was only really doing it to support Hitler and he's now away most of the time with Uni so no more guilt there.
So programme at the moment is:
Mon: AM: Gym/shoulders. PM: Swim
Tues: AM: Gym/legs
Wed: AM: Swim PM: Swim
Thur: AM: Gym/chest and biceps
Fri: AM: Gym/back and triceps then Swim
Sat: Crossfit then Swim
Sun: Run, 21kmI usually go for a longish walk on Tuesday and Thursday evenings after kids in bed. Farking MAFS shit on TV so I walk and listen to podcasts.

Been a tad disrupted due to floods although I kind of feel guilty that it has really had very little effect on me. My gym and pool were unscathed as well. My eldest son's gym on the other hand went completely under!

No run on Sunday due to the rain and the fact that my usual route was also underwater. But gym still open and spent more time there. Found time to appreciate the cardio machines there. Normally hate stuff like that but if you do a type of circuit then you can smash it without being bored shitless. Also helps that if it's almost empty. Obviously out of the question during peak times.
Was a cool experience the other day when I went to the gym for the first time with my youngest. Showing him proper form etc was so cool. Very proud dad.

Just swim instead of run. Easy.
Oldest boy came and smashed out a few chins at the pad last night after dinner. His ROM was a bit shit but the intent was there.
He even said “these are like curls…..and if you do curls, you get the girls” !

Damn 14 days....But been a pretty good 14 days. Wednesday cheat lunch doing the job and have also been able to largely control myself on Saturdays. But the Sunday run continues to be absolute hell. I think I'll be flying come taper time but that isn't for a while yet. 15 weeks until 63km in 2 days😬.

21km yesterday was shocking. Came home, ate breakfast, tried to do some work but had to lie down. Then slept for an hour and a half. Woke up dehydrated as hell.
All I can say is do not engage in rumpy pumpy shortly before a run. It ain't worth it 😱

Shit. 20 days.
Currently in Norway but decent gym and pool at hotel. Dodging the fat Danes and Germans is annoying but they don't tend to hang around long. As a man of habits and routines, this can be difficult for me but I'm trying to relax. Impossible to say no to food offered when visiting friends but it isn't too bad here. Must say that the Norwegians keep themselves in good shape generally. Lots of gyms around. -
Still suffering from some jet lag after that usual nightmare flight. Didn't help that a fat wienerschnitzel stewardess on Lufthansa woke me up and told me to pull my mask above my nose. What a joke. One great thing about Norway was zero Covid restrictions.
So jet lag and crap plane food have played havoc on my mind and guts but feeling some form of normality today. Been absolutely smashing the gym and eating is 👌. Unfortunately pool is closed this week but will make up for it.
So up at stupid o'clock this morning and had a great 2 hour session at the gym. Now the trick is staying awake until this evening and I should hopefully be back on track.

No pool and pissing down with rain so did a mega session at gym.
4km run then
4x pullups to failure
Abs
Dips
Abs4km run
10×400 run
10 chinups
Incline push-ups to failure
Abs1 km run
4x 500m row
20 push-upsYeah pretty farked.
-
@Rancid-Schnitzel you ran 13km, rowed 2km and threw a bunch of fuck off exercises in your breaks? Jesus

Read this post around the time I was considering having some ice cream. I then made it a big fark off bowl. Reckon I deserved it. Cheers 👍

Weather noticeably colder now so could go the half marathon at bit later in the day. Still an absolute cnut though.
Monday: smashed out a great shoulder session before heading off to an Anzac day service.
