Wallabies vs All Blacks 3 (Perth)

Overall that's a pretty damn good team. When Foster selects the right players you see how much talent we still have.
Not that happy with Ardie at 8, I'd actually prefer him as our bench option but he's captain now so has to start.
Weber gives me the absolute shits, our depth at 9 is bare. He's probably a better bet than TJP though who is a bench option at best really. Have to feel for Beauden though, gets his shot at 10 again but has to do it without the GOAT inside him that Mo'unga has had.
Bridge on the bench offers basically nothing. Jordie starting with DMac on the bench is a good call - DMac can cause havoc against tired defenses, that's his best spot at test level.
Looking forward to this, nice to have some rugby to break up the lockdown.

Oh FFS, I was all set to fire up about (2 out) of 3 Barrett brothers and Reece on the wing. Now I have one less thing to be grumpy about.
No Jacobsen is a surprise, unless I missed his injury status?
I don't think he covers all backrow positions as well as Ethan. Nor have I seen him casually hit a dropkick.

The only player that appears to be injured is Tuipulotu. I think some of these rotations are looking ahead to the next 2 tests against Arg because we won't be able to play them all 5 tests in 5 weeks.

Haha, let's see if he can pull on off in a game. Although hopefully we don't need him to pull one off for us to win the game.

I wouldn’t pick one Aussie in a combined….
That midfield could be a handful with decent ball.
Banks is a liability. The young kid at 1st 5 needs to be persisted with. Their loose forwards have been inconsistent at best. Swain is an up and coming talent but is green and they don’t have an experienced lock that can take him under their wing. The other options are still trying to nail down spots. -

sorry guys just checked my phone, it appears i had this team a couple of hours ago.. will resume sauce services for next away games
Downvote. You had us all wait.
Only real surprise for me is Weber starting over TJ. The other changes are much of a muchness given the schedule that lies ahead.
I’m really hoping to see a continuation of that interplay between forwards and backs that we saw glimpses of in Bled 1 and more of in Bled 2.

I know you're kidding but I would have Hooper any day of the week. He is a massive warrior!!

Seems like - with his time away in Japan and flirtation with league - that TJ is in the dog box a bit.
They made him wait to come back into the AB squad and now they're giving Weber the starter's spot ahead of him. I know someone will say that he needed to play an NPC game to qualify himself - but, to me - that was just a technicality. If they'd really wanted him they could easily have circumvented that rule with a "he's signed with us" and only a few pedants would have blinked.

@chris-b when's the last time Perenara played a test or even a game of Super Rugby intensity?
Not chucking him straight into a Bledisloe to start doesn't mean he's in the dogbox
About 3 weeks ago

Like the backline, will be interesting to see what Weber can do in a start with a good team...but...what the flying fuck is the point of Bridge? I can only hope it's a rotation thing.
@antipodean I've seen Jacobson cover all loose forward positions excellently at super level, don't think Blackadder could be ranked ahead of him in that regard. Rotation again surely...

Or they’re saving his start for the next two possibly tougher games?
