Blues 2020

@Tim Media are really milking this.
and now the attention will turn to the future of his brother Jordie, another Hurricanes player who is off contract and looking at other opportunities. They are understood to be the Blues and the Highlanders, and both would welcome the services of a 22-year-old All Blacks outside back capable of playing in the midfield.
McKendry forgot the Crusaders.

@Bovidae said in Blues 2020 - Beauden Barrett is Signed:
The key point will be when he takes his sabbatical(s) during those 4 years. If it's in 2022/23 then the Blues will still get the best of BB. As he says in the interview himself, he has personal standards and I don't see his speed declining that quickly.
Despite any number of examples, people are often confident that speed will stay -- it's a triumph of hope over experience. Commenters here were wildly optimistic that NMS and Julian Savea were not past it just because they were heading to 30.
In Beauden's favour is that he is light, and his build don't tend to lose it as quickly. But one injury and it can be gone.

Flaky first 5 with ropey basic skills and questionable game management. He's got Blues 10 written all over him
But a great fullback. If Tana were still in charge Iโm sure he would find a way for Beaudie to start at fullback ๐

How many really high profile players have switched teams? Ali Williams? Lomu? There must be others. Nonu liked to get around (though whether that was his choice).

Well what an awesome news day this is. For his sake I hope he goes south and restarts the combo with Goodhue.

@Tim Have not heard to much about Scott Gregory ,I did message him a couple of weeks back, but was more in and around his injury he picked up at the RWC under 20s..injury was not to serious .but I will ask him about a potential move to the Landers ..on the hookers ,not much to add other than what has already been said ..Taniwharugby was spot on regarding Abel, he was originally negotiating with Northland ,but has ended up in Auckland which is not a bad thing..hopefully he will be in the frame for Blues selection ..at least he will keep Parsons honest..!

@Paekakboyz still got Willis St on it. What is that thing anyway? It's a weird collection of places.

@Tim I remember enjoying his impact off the bench in his early days for harbour, has some good go forward with ball in hand and is a big unit at 118kgs. However he struggled for decent game time behind the ever present Parsons, then got injured and didn't play at all in 2017 before turning up at Ta$man last year.
