Lest we forget.
Goodbye sweet prince.

I'm sad. Sad for Izzy that his career ends this way, sad for all his fans that we don't get to see him play anymore, especially sad that he can't finish his career in the black & white hoops like he wanted and that we as Shield Snorters fans would have enjoyed. One of my favourite Shield Snorters! An awesome representative of our region! Okay, I'm going to watch some Youtube videos now ...
Thank you, Izzy!

@Machpants I got the moves like Dagger..that image is one of the iconic RWC 2011 ones IMO

@taniwharugby For me, it's this one with Cory Jane:

Could have been slightly better if his left leg was slightly longer and managed to kick Quade in the head as well as the leap.

@Virgil The only effective tackle on Dagg was by McCaw! Note DC's clean out at the previous ruck, awesome.
He was moving so fast Quade's head couldn't keep up

His Highlander years probably went under the radar a bit, but his two years there were probably two of his better Super Rugby seasons.
I have a feeling that most fans don't even know he played for them.
His Highlanders play got him into the ABs.

Bummer he couldn't finish his career on his own terms. Had a pretty decent career RWC win and 60 tests, a Super rugby win (?) with the Evil Empire, the Highlanders, and of course the highlight of his career playing for the
Shield SnortersLindisfarne 2004 1st 15Corrected for you.

@Magpie_in_aus I don’t know why you’d add the biggest regret of his life to this thread of celebration. 😉
