Bledisloe II

40-12, plus three disallowed tries. Barnes should have been harsher on the 4th tackle without the ball on TJ. Barrett was class tonight, but also thought BFA had a much better game on the wing. He and Jordie worked well together at the back. Scrum was dodgy as fuck though.
Wallabies need to work on their fitness big time. They looked sharp and hungry in the first half and mostly rubbish in the second, and even players like St. Po were niggly.

Thumping win, but I don’t think the ABs will be thrilled with that performance.
Plenty of dropped balls early on, strange how they all seemed to be dropped bullet passes which bounced away at a million miles an hour.
They also won’t be happy with the soft defence on the 2 Aussie tries.
Harris has to go, our lineout falls apart when he comes on. Time for Coltman to have a go.That said, I always had the feeling that once we stopped dropping the ball we’d put plenty of points on the board, and we did score some great tries.
Any time the ABs thump Aussie it’s a great day.BB and BBBR again both outstanding.
Well done Owen Franks on the 100 games.
I don’t really mind so much. It’s a high risk high reward game plan. You could see what the tactics of the ABs were, play at break neck speed and push the pass to tire the Wallaby defence. And as we saw late in the first half and into the second, the Aussies were cooked and we found gap after gap.

Oh for sure, they had a definite plan to run them off their feet, just don’t think they’ll be impressed with themselves for the amount of times they dropped it.

New midfield and back 3 combinations. Forwards standing flat with a compressed Oz defensive line.
What’s remarkable is that our bench are pretty low on test experience too.

We need two Ben Smiths. I think he's better than Jordie at fullback.
Amazingly, Naholo didn't make any massive errors.
Squire is close to be sealing the 6 jersey.
Sam Cane is a beast on defence compared to Ardie.
Retallick was awesome (again) but he's no Chris Tregaskis. -

Foley not getting much love at g and g , a couple of people have pointed out how weak Beales defence is. St Bonocock is their man of the match .
I've never been there, what's it like?
Also, as Kirwan noted Foley was responsible for 10 points for the Wallabies, stopped 5 and set up 5. He should get some kudos for that?

Mostly Queenslanders, no doubt. They're not very creative, hate Beale for getting that slag of Link's sacked, and bringing Link down with it, and think Quade is the answer.

Well, that was utterly unsurprising.
What’s going on with the Aussie fitness?
Seems to have regressed a little from what we've seen in the last year or so, eh?
TBH I dunno. Social media is saying we have the players to do it, and I agree IF IF IF IF IF IF IF IF IF IF IF IF IF IF we get everything right on the night and the ABs fluff a few lines. But how likely is that?
I missed most of the second half as the wife needed a chauffeur to drop her and a friend off, and that gives me nooky points which was more important that watching us lose again. But we seemed to execute in the first half reasonably well, bar a couple of those stupid mistakes the ABs feed off.
The rest of the chat was around neck rolls.

Why isn't Arnold in the team?
When you don't have pay TV, you can't watch a lot of rugby here.
Rodda is a solid player. I don't think Arnold would necessarily fix our lineout issues or anything - he's a big unit but maybe a bit stringy for all that.
