MotM vs Scotland

@nepia @Crucial I dunno about you guys, but I count making poor offensive decisions and compounding it by being ragdolled like MN5 trying to show rugby knowledge as utter shit. If it was Ben Blair you fellas would be all over it.
Beauden threw forward passes, made a host of shit kicks, and showed no penetration at first receiver. However being on the end of an SBW offload and nice DMac line and he's a MOTM contender?
Apparently BB is allowed to run hot and cold. But DMac has to only run hot?

Yep, odd choice to pick BB for MOTM (especially in light of the DMac criticism) - it's like he's guaranteed a few votes from posters every week.
I'm a bit torn, I want to give Cane a vote, but last week I think I made a statement that a yellow goes against a player in the MOTM stakes.
So, SBW, Whitelock, and Hames with Ioane just missing out - actually he could be swapped with the latter two depending on the time of the day!

The same as me.
I would have chosen Ioane but he was most at fault for Jones' try. Getting a YC automatically excludes you in my book.

Apparently Ioane injured his shoulder so couldn't actually make a tackle at that stage.

Ioane, SBW and Hames..
They all made the highlight reels.. SBW with two games now with a sweet grubber leading to tries..
I don't see many people raging at SBW for his dumb kicks.. especially after the one instance where it didn't come off
Ioane showing off his midfield skills with some smooth passing.. he even did a SBW to SBW.. (crash ball and offload to sbw)I didn't mind DMac.. he was better than Naholo.. but what irks me is that the commentators say he looks dangerous when he runs sideways, when I'm holding onto my breath hoping that he wont get rag dolled and make it tough for his team mates to help him at ruck time without going in from the side..

SBW/Ioane/Whitelock. I chucked an honorable mention to Squire thought his impact when he came on was huge.
-
@chester-draws yep.

Funny I think the same thing about Cane. Cane gave away a dumb penalty and yellow card, made no turnovers that I can recall and didn't make an exceptional number of tackles. He just seems to always automatically get a third vote even if he is very ineffectual.

He barely got any votes in this game. When are the other games you feel he was ineffectual?

I can recall a Cane turnover in the first half - but then the game was only yesterday and I'll have forgotten it by tomorrow.

Special mention to Hames for stamping ALL BLACK all over everything he came near.
I'll watch the game again tomorrow, but the penalty Hames won at the end for Berghan standing up - it looked to me for all the world that the ref got it sooooo wrong and Hames was boring in at almost 90 degrees, then up and under, forcing the tighthead to pop out of the scrum.
Yip I think you are completely right.
It was ever thus -- Phil Kearns was probably ecstatic!

The thing is, as a prop (retired) I have to admire what Hames did, he knew the ref was on the other side, the touch judge was half the pitch away and there was no spider cam, so he went for it. On the one level I applaud it, on the other I'm outraged!!! outraged I tell you!
You front row guys inhabit a different world, don't you? Kudos to Hames for realising that in space no one can hear a TH scream?
