Can't help but Photobucket is something I would steer clear of. I read a lot of online repair forums and people use them to post photos of their tutorials which is great unfortunately they just jacked up their prices and not everyone either can or wants to pay so a lot of useful stuff has been deleted over the past month which really really sucks.

@Rembrandt funny, I found an older software disc I had, but now it seems it is actually the USB2 driver that is the problem, cos it is old I expect, so finding something compatible with Win 10 for the EasyCap hardware...
ULead and NEro are 2 I have used, Nero has a better package, but Ulead tended to have better features
edit - def something to do with the USB, as the software shows the option to use the device, but when I click it, nothing happens and it defaults back to the webcam

@taniwharugby Windows 10 has given me gief in the past with older devices. Does the easycap site offer a specific windows 10 driver?

according to this page it does...but when I have the program open, it gives me option of using my webcam or the USB grabber, webcam works, USB grabber screen is blank, so am just assuming it is the driver...

ha, I found that I had paid for an upgraded Nero version a few years back, and re-installed it on new laptop and works.

man old video recording is shite quality!
Even grabbing stuff off a DVR I bought in 2005 in makes you realise how much technology has come along.

I use Premiere Pro and After Effects from the Adobe suite.
