    @Nepia thats the selfish option, we are looking at continuing the Shield-go-round, as we would very likely lose to one of NH or Waikato

    I'm very selfish.

    @Paj @Propsicle @Stockcar86 @stargazer @Number-10

    Just taken a call from Triple T of the Bush Tipping Team. Confident prick has taken me on in the Tipping Match between his mob and the Bay for a jug. Naturally the wager was accepted. After mustering a full turnout last week we somehow scrambled a draw against Northland when none of us were at out best. Hopefully that was simply us saving our top form for this week's encounter against the generally impregnable Wairarapa-Bush Team. Upon checking it looks like we are keeping our powder dry with no one having tipped yet, hopefully that it is not complacency setting in but rather an indication that every single aspect that needs to be taken into consideration before making those picks is still being pondered. A tricky situation though in the last match of the round where naturally it is assumed that each and everyone of us will be tipping the away team by some margin or other!

    I actually woke up rather suddenly last night after clearly hearing Micheal Buffer's voice in my crystal clear dream announcing "and the judges score card see a unanimous decision in favour of the team fighting out of the Black corner and NEW" and that's as far as he got. I did not need to hear any more to know exactly what that meant!

    Anyway heres the link to this week's tipping sheet, remember cut off time for tonight's easy ten pointer is 7.05PM

    "I'm the chairman of Sanzaar and there's not been a Sanzaar board meeting since the 4th of August," Impey said.

    "The notes that have been published are not board minutes, and they've got a fundamental error in it as far as we're concerned, which says the six-week draw was agreed by all. I can tell you that it wasn't – we know that, and Rugby Australia and Sanzaar know that.

    "The notes also quite clearly refer to an impasse and there are many emails that prove this... our position has never changed."

    Watched the final round in its entirety. Was pretty boring once BDC got the the 3 shot lead, as then he just played "par golf", nothing exciting, all very boring.

    I do like his methods though.

    I think Pene was player of the year in 93. Z Brooke in 94. Same position.

    Zinny missed the France series in 94, and still won player of the year. Reflection of what an abortion that year was as well as how awesome he was.

    Zinny got 3 dropped goals in his test career, but in that SAF series in 94 was the first time he attempted one in a test match. Almost a replica of his 1995 RWC semifinal droppie. From halfway but (only just) missed IIRC.

    Yeah what were the three, was it Eng 95, SA in SA 96 and one on the EOYT in 97?

    Yes. Wales at Wembley.

    It's quite impressive to think that Taranaki's two starting locks are so young that both have been in the U20s this year. A good test this weekend against Whitelock and co.
